About this topic:

Simulation is a tool that holds up a mirror, and allows us to observe our actions and performance in the healthcare setting.  Mindfulness practice also holds up a mirror, in that we gain insights into our thoughts, feelings, and attitudes.  Taken together, both practices have the potential to radically change how we operate in healthcare.
