Bio

Brian has been a key player in simulation activities at Akron Children's Hospital for the past seven years. Prior to the inception of the Simulation Center for Safety & Reliability, Brian worked with ICU providers to develop simulation education for residents, nurses, and transport team members. He is well versed with all modalities of simulated learning, technical back operations, and the management of the Simulation Center as a business unit. Brian also manages the Austen Bioskills Lab (TABL). A fully functional, cadaveric wet lab used for surgical education, product development, and surgical device prototype design. "A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects." -Robert A. Heinlein
