Donamarie N-Wilfong, DNP, RN is the co-founder and Director of the Simulation, Teaching and Academic Research (STAR) Center and Vice President of Interprofessional Education at Allegheny Health Network. As an educator, published author, entrepreneur, and keynote speaker she is recognized for her ability to use simulation as a teaching and learning tool. She has led the STAR Center to international accreditation and participated in landmark research studies with the National League for Nursing. She has developed over 200 interprofessional simulation courses including live and online and trained over 95,000 learners using simulation. She has been a nursing professor for over thirty-five years. In addition to her role at STAR, she is a courtesy faculty member for Carnegie Mellon University assisting with pioneer research studies, serves on various local colleges and universities advisory boards and is the recent recipient of the Benjamin Rush Award from the Allegheny County Medical Society for Innovation in Healthcare.
